The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and is seeking experienced and motivated Solution Architects to assist with the delivery of various ICT Projects across the Division including artificial intelligence and emerging technology.
The Department primarily uses Microsoft Azure, M365, Dynamics365, and DevOps platforms.
Key duties and responsibilities
Skills required:
Demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect, preferably within a federal government department Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role on complex projects, preferably migration projects Solid expertise in developing high level and detailed design solutions for migration of in-house systems to Azure cloud including Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, and establishing virtual desktop infrastructure Experience in the development and migration of Azure DevOps pipelines and platforms Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with Azure Virtual network configuration including hybrid network architecture Familiarity with cyber security controls (ISM), OWASP, and Essential 8 controls within federal government departments Detailed technical knowledge of the Azure cloud platform Ability to work independently, build productive relationships, and liaise with stakeholders (including business users, development team, Azure platform experts, cyber security experts, and enterprise architects) Strong communication skills and ability to convert business requirements into detailed design solutions using concise language, diagrams, and accurate technical details Criteria

Demonstrated experience in understanding business requirements and solutioning designs for Azure-based cloud environments Experience developing high-level and detailed design solutions for transitioning services to, and/or developing services in Azure with a focus on Azure DevOps Ability to build productive relationships and work with stakeholders including enterprise architecture groups, cyber security teams, and cloud operations to secure design approval Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role on complex projects, preferably migration projects Desirable criteria
Demonstrated experience in migrating solutions from one organization to another, including planning and execution of the migration approach Experience with Data Solutions, DevOps, CI/CD, Integration solutions, Geospatial/Large Data processing, and API/Services Oriented Architecture Ability to work with limited guidance in an Agile environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
