What you'll be doing
Kickstart your career with Virgin Australia's Group Strategy team and play an important role in shaping the future of Australia's most loved airline. This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to use their analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to strategic initiatives that drive real impact. As an Analyst, you'll work closely with senior team members, assist with cross-functional projects, and develop a deep understanding of strategy within Australia's most loved airline. This role is perfect for someone with 0-2 years of experience who is eager to learn, grow, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Further responsibilities:
Contributing to Strategy: Help define Virgin Australia's success, refine our positioning for guests, and assess how we measure up against competitors. Analysing Data: Work with large datasets to uncover insights that inform critical decisions across the business. Supporting Projects: Assist in managing cross-functional initiatives and engage with stakeholders across the organization. Informing Decisions: Apply strategic thinking to provide recommendations for short, medium, and long-term decisions. Crafting Deliverables: Prepare executive-level presentation materials that clearly communicate insights and recommendations. Learning and Growing: Build a solid foundation in strategy and business decision-making while gaining exposure to diverse areas of the airline. You'll be great in this role if you have...
A recently completed degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Commerce, Statistics) with outstanding academic results. Strong analytical capabilities and a natural aptitude for working with numbers. Demonstrated project experience and familiarity with business strategy concepts. Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. A creative and focused approach to tackling challenges. Strong skills in Excel and data analysis tools. Knowledge of or passion for aviation is a bonus but not essential.
