The Role The Brighton on Bay located in Brighton, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and reliable Village Support Officer on a Casual basis.
Our residents are independent retirees who have sought the company and safety of living in a community of like-minded individuals with service provided that gives them and their families reassurance that they will be cared for if the need arises.
Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include: Cleaning duties in our common areas such as vacuuming, sweeping and tidying. Assisting with our colourful village events. Assisting to serve meals & beverages during events. Responding to resident enquiries. Responding to call outs. Undertaking first aid. Initiating emergency services where required. Basic admin tasks. Conducting welfare checks on residents. Other tasks around the village as directed. Shifts Casual - mostly overnight shifts (mixture of active and inactive). Shift hours: Evening shifts 5pm-10pm (active) with a sleepover (inactive) until 8am. Occasionally shifts available on weekends. About You Availability for afternoon/sleepover and weekend shifts. A current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain). Strong customer service skills, with a genuine interest in working with the elderly. High motivation, with the ability to take initiative in stressful situations. Experience working within Aged Care, Personal Care or Retirement communities – desirable.
