Vili's Family Bakery is a national family business with our bakery and head office in South Australia and a facility in Sydney. Affectionately known as "Vili's", we have been operating since 1968 and continue to expand the manufacture and sale of our world-famous pastries.
As the Financial Manager, you'll play an instrumental role in managing operational responsibilities within the department. This is a great opportunity to contribute your skills to a nationally recognised family business. You will oversee an established team and ensure the smooth execution of the department's key responsibilities, which include:
Monitor financial activities and implement necessary controls. Prepare and maintain financial and management accounts, budgets, year-end statutory reports, P&L and balance sheet, Income Tax/BAS, etc. for various family-owned entities. Produce commercial analysis information and provide accurate operational insights. Analyse business development opportunities, identify risks, and provide recommendations. Manage various accounts-related tasks from accounts receivable to accounts payable and beyond. Respond to internal and external audit queries. Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and liaise with external accountants, bankers, lawyers, and insurers. Implement and comply with company policies, procedures, and work instructions. Coach, train, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding. To be successful you will need:
CPA or CA qualified. Previous leadership experience in supervisory positions. A positive, enthusiastic and strategically minded attitude. Strong business acumen. Flexible and able to work calmly under pressure. High level Microsoft Office and Excel. Excellent communication and team-playing skills. Industry experience in manufacturing desirable. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Experience in payroll would be an advantage. In return for your talent, we offer:
