Presentation of the project : The Rockhampton Ring Road project is situated near the town of Rockhampton.
Within the scope of the project is the Fitzroy River Bridge which will be a match-cast segmental balanced cantilever structure.
VSL's expected involvement in the project is the casting and erection of the ~350 match-cast segments of the Fitzroy River Bridge.
Missions : Short-term: Start playing a role in the project technical team to participate in the planning and development of construction methodology in advance of the works (technical/methodological phase).
Long-term: With the start of site work, we would look to transition the candidate into a site engineering role for production works in either the match-casting or the erection works teams.
Requirements: Junior engineer.
Basic background in structures construction.
Interest in developing experience in bridge construction techniques.
Be technically minded with good university results in structural and mechanical subjects.
Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera.
Good communication skills.
