Vice President, Sustainable Finance, Apac - Corporate & Investment Banking - Sydney, Australia

Responsibilities We are currently recruiting for a Vice President to join our Sustainable Finance team. In this client facing role, you will be supporting the Head of Sustainable Finance, Asia Pacific, to drive origination efforts across the region and execute sustainable finance advisory engagements.
The Sustainable Finance team within Societe Generale is responsible for being the experts in sustainable finance structures and industry trends. The team sets the overall sustainable finance strategy and drives client engagement through strategic advice and thought leadership.
You will: Provide specialist expertise directly to clients and work seamlessly with other teams within Global Banking and Advisory, as well as support regional and global strategic initiatives.Maintain a regular dialog with key players and participate in the most influential local working groups and collaborative initiatives to position SG as a leading Sustainable Finance partner in APAC.Monitor the market/technological developments in relevant sectors and countries with the assistance of the business lines and business units.Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Required Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in related field such as Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting and/or Sustainability.7+ years professional experience, strong in sustainable finance with addition of banking or finance experience.Fluency in English required, fluency in Mandarin or another major APAC language preferred.Commercial acumen. Proven origination and advisory mindset, delivery and execution focused.Client focused with demonstrated ability to establish and develop trusted client and industry relationships.Knowledge and experience across multiple banking products.Solid understanding of sustainable finance market dynamics and ability to apply knowledge to suit client needs.Innovative mindset, ability to work in a dynamic team environment with lots of moving parts and navigate complex issues.Proactive self-starter.
