About the role: MUFG has been consistently positioned as a top-tier global project finance bank. We are the only international bank consistently ranked within top 10 over the last 20 years globally. Project Finance International awarded MUFG: Global Project Finance Bank of The Year 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2022. Our Asia and Australia team consists of 147 PF professionals across the various sectors of project finance.
MUFG's project finance team provides non-recourse debt solutions to the banks key clients. We facilitate access to MUFG's comprehensive suite of finance solutions to address client needs at every state of a project's life cycle.
In your role as Vice President your primary responsibility will be to provide support and management of project finance origination activities to new and existing clients of MUFG and build pro-active relationships with other Departments within the MUFG group. This role will focus on resources and energy sectors including LNG, CCS and new fuels (SAF, eFuels, Hydrogen, Ammonia). This role will be focused on lending and bank products but will also include project advisory.
What you'll be doing: Working with Managing Directors and Directors in arranging project finance transactions Managing directly allocated project finance lending and advisory transactions Managing all assigned credit matters including credit papers, construction, modelling, negotiation of terms and conditions, finalisation of documentation, arrangement and finalisation of due diligence, satisfying CPs etc. in regards to project finance transactions Assisting in negotiation and documentation of terms and conditions of credit; security and all other documents related to the credit and services provided Assisting in the provision of structuring, ratings, and other project advisory services Ensuring new transactions comply with MUFG's credit and other policies To contribute to the maintenance of positive relationships with project sponsors/borrowers/advisors/legal counsels/funds/bank customers and to materially contribute to MUFG profit Manage and instruct junior staff Assist in managing and communicating with all of MUFG's internal stakeholders in a positive manner Complete general administration matters within Project Finance. What we are looking for: 4 – 6 years' experience with relevant industry and project finance knowledge Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university is essential Sector or customer knowledge and experience in energy sectors including LNG will be favourably considered Strong business and financial acumen Strong knowledge and experience in project management, credit analysis and documentation Good communication skills with the ability to influence others Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments Previous experience in a leadership role providing guidance and mentorship to a developing team MS office experience with key capabilities in Excel, Word and Powerpoint Our culture: MUFG fosters a highly professional, supportive work environment that enables our employees to help maximize our customers' prosperity.
