Senior Finance Business Partner
and

Role 1: Senior Finance Business Partner - 6 months

Role Summary:
The Senior Finance Business Partner will be crucial in providing strategic and operational financial advice to inform decision-making. This role involves partnering with executives and management to perform financial analysis, develop budgets, and deliver reporting that drives business performance and risk management.
Key Accountabilities:
Deliver strategic financial advice and support to internal stakeholders, including senior executives.
Provide timely reporting and analysis to aid in decision-making.
Build and maintain financial models and forecasts.
Recommend and implement process improvements for budgeting and forecasting.
Engage stakeholders with clear, actionable insights and reports.
Contribute to the development and implementation of finance policies.
Key Selection Criteria:
Proficiency in Oracle and data analysis tools.
Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA/CA certification is highly regarded.
Role 2: Business Analyst - 6 months

Role Summary:
The Finance Business Analyst will oversee racing and wagering business performance, act as a service function to the commercial group, and provide insights and reports to internal and external stakeholders. The role involves strategic analysis, forecasting, and modelling to support key initiatives and decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare recurring business performance reports with technology, including detailed written commentary for stakeholders.
Deliver financial projections and evaluations for events and activities, like calendar changes and wagering initiatives.
Create annual and monthly turnover forecasts for the commercial business.
Develop commercial models to support the commercial team and broader group, aiding in negotiations with partners.
Generate intelligence and performance analysis of key industry organizations.
Assist in developing business cases for projects and product enhancements.
Actively participate in strategic projects, including funding arrangements, engaging with external parties like PRAs and the Office of Racing.
Educate and guide commercial, technology, finance, and integrity teams on profit models and industry structure.
Attend key meetings with racing industry partners across states.
Key Capabilities:
Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to drive innovation and make sound decisions.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Detail-oriented with a collaborative approach.
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration and 3+ years of relevant experience.
Other Requirements:
Given the unique nature of this position and the operational requirements of the racing industry, the position is expected to travel within Flemington, Melton Entertainment Park, country clubs, and regional Victoria outside of normal working hours including potential for some weekend and weeknight work during major race meetings.
The position holder must:
Possess and maintain a current valid Victorian motor vehicle driver's licence.
Possess and maintain a current valid Victorian Working with Children Check.
