ILM Sydney is currently looking for a VFX Editor who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, collaborative mindset and passion for great filmmaking that define ILM.
Your role? As a VFX Editor you will set up and complete all editorial work as requested from a Supervisor, Lead Editor or Production on feature or episodic projects. You will communicate with the client editorial team and maintain the editorial timelines and databases with the latest client changes and internal versions from multiple artist disciplines.
You will ideally have 3+ years experience as a VFX Editor in a Production and VFX facility environment; however, people normally are successful if they have some experience and are keen to learn!
What will you be doing? Keep project's edits up to date, communicating with client editorial and tracking all changes and iterations.
Work closely with the ILM project production and supervision teams to provide editorial support, including creative edits, abbreviated cuts, and internal cuts.
Maintenance of editorial databases with any changes to cuts.
Output of editorial sequence data for individual shot frame range, visual and audio reference.
Show wrap-up including final reel, layoff of movie files, and consolidating media.
Work on other ILM company editorial projects, including internal and external marketing reels.
To be a contributing member of this team, you will have a mix of these skills: An editor who has specific experience in supporting VFX feature film or episodic projects, with shotgrid and VFX pipeline knowledge.
You probably have 3 or more years experience, ideally with Avid media composer.
A self-starter who is able to work independently, is collaborative, and maintains positive relationships within ILM in Sydney as well as with the global teams.
You have a Bachelor's Degree in film/digital media production or a related degree, or you have relevant industry experience.
