Due to increasing client demand, Figtree Veterinary Clinic is seeking a casual weekend Veterinary Nurse to join our small team of young, passionate & supportive people. The role will be primarily weekends with the potential for occasional weekday shifts if required. Located in Lane Cove on the Lower North Shore, we maintain a loyal and returning client base, many of which are insured, enabling us to offer and provide as close to "gold standard" care as possible.
We provide a friendly and supportive work environment to help our nurses strive towards and realise their full potential, using their technical skills and knowledge daily.
Weekend nursing duties include, but are not limited to:
Personable and professional customer service.Performing triage service, standard nurse consultations, and animal restraint.Venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement and blood sample collection.Veterinary consultation assistance.Some reception duties as required or if preferred.Stock rotation & control.Minimum requirements:
Holds a Veterinary Nurse Cert IV qualification – however, exceptional uncertified candidates are encouraged to apply.Has a minimum of 2 years nursing experience.Supports our clinic values – empathy, compassion, integrity, and excellence.Organised, efficient and able to multi-task within a veterinary environment.Has the ability to work within the team, and independently where required.Enjoys a challenge and a varied caseload.Computer literate (Rx works experience is advantageous).Committed to weekend shifts, potentially on a rotating roster.We can provide a great work-life balance with a flexible roster between the opening hours of 9am-1pm on Saturdays. The clinic is closed Sundays and public holidays. Training will be provided where required. Pay rate is above award and reflective of your skills and experience.
