JOB DESCRIPTION IDEXX are currently seeking a casual Veterinary Laboratory Technician to work within our multi-discipline laboratory in Unley.
You will work as part of a vibrant and highly engaged team and contribute to the delivery of timely, effective, and efficient diagnostic pathology services.
As a member of a specialised team, you – as the successful hire, will ensure the provision of high-quality, efficient, effective, biochemistry, haematology, microbiology, histology, and parasitology testing.
You will work within the hours of 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday.
The Veterinary Laboratory Scientist will ensure that IDEXX Reference Laboratories operate at the highest level of accuracy by performing, monitoring and acting upon quality control procedures – while monitoring, calibrating, and troubleshooting their performance, in compliance with NATA and ISO accreditation/certification requirements.
The Successful candidate… Completed or working towards a Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) Min 2-3 years' experience within a diagnostic laboratory setting preferred PC & data entry skills are essential.
Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to policies and practices.
Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment.
A passion for providing exceptional customer service Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
