Wongutha CAPS is a Christian Boarding School for Year 11 and 12 Aboriginal students, primarily from remote towns and communities across Western Australia. The school is dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing needs of its students, enabling them to fully engage in the educational and training opportunities available.
Position Overview
Applications are invited for a part-time VET Trainer to assist in the training of the Cert I in Engineering, starting Term 1, 2025. This position is ideal for someone available on Thursdays and Fridays to join our VET team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to balance competing priorities
Federal Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (required)

Qualifications:
At least a Certificate II in Engineering or equivalent, required
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent, required
Ability to work with and train students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
Willingness to obtain or up-skill to new and current qualifications
Additional experience and qualifications in the relevant industry are highly desirable
Knowledge of training packages, compliance requirements, and the VET sector is an advantage
