Vocational Education Teacher role within Swinburne University Full time, fixed term (Dec 2024) position at our Croydon campus VET Salary dependent on skills and experience The Trades Engineering and Technology SSP Department is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced teacher to deliver the units from our current Training Packages.
The requirement is to predominantly carry out teaching and assessment duties within these programs.
Our Vocational Education and Training (VET) Teachers have the opportunity to inspire, engage, and educate students for the 21st century.
You will have the chance to implement industry best practices, utilise cutting-edge learning technologies, and employ contemporary pedagogies to create a stimulating learning environment.
This position provides the exciting challenge of customising and adapting programs to meet the diverse needs of learners and clients across certificate, diploma, and associate degree levels.
Collaborating within a team of education professionals, you will play a pivotal role in planning, delivering, assessing, and evaluating high-quality education and training programs.
About You   To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:  Demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes, reflecting an understanding of successful approaches to teaching Demonstrated ability to foster and promote an inclusive, customised and safe learning environment and provide support and advice to a diverse range of students and clients Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in continuous improvement, and develop high quality teaching and assessment materials Builds constructive relationships with colleagues and generates ideas for improvements which includes demonstrating high level communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to identify own learning needs and obtain support for professional development to be able to perform as a VET practitioner of the 21st century Excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentoring and student experience.
