About the role
The VET Coordinator will manage the VET programs offered at our school, ensuring they align with student needs, curriculum requirements, and industry standards. This role involves liaising with external training organisations, supporting students in their chosen pathways, and ensuring compliance with all relevant VET and school policies. This role is ongoing and full-time or school hours can be negotiated for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide guidance, counselling, and quality service to staff, students, and parents on Vocational Education pathways and SBAT (School-Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship) opportunities. Promote and market VET (Vocational Education and Training) courses and SBAT options to the College community, creating awareness and interest. Coordinate with the Applied Learning Leader on implementing SBATs, work placements, and meeting VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority) and VRQA (Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority) standards. Establish partnerships with local businesses for work experience and structured workplace learning, and manage relationships with external organisations like TAFE, RTOs, and industry bodies. Administer and monitor VET program logistics, including timetabling, transportation, attendance, and student progress tracking; manage VASS (Victorian Assessment Software System) data for compliance and funding. Develop new VET programs aligned with College goals and growth industries, manage budgets, and ensure staff have the required qualifications and training to deliver courses. Skills and Qualifications
