Our Opportunity
Veris has a Principal Planner opportunity available within our Tasmanian team. We require expertise in providing broad planning professional services across multiple industry sectors. This is a growth opportunity as Veris continues to build out our consulting and advisory services across Australia.

The primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: Undertaking site analysis and research Preparing fee proposals and initial town planning advice Coordinating and preparing high-quality development applications Managing small to large development and infrastructure projects from project inception through the full scope of client engagement Management of projects in terms of maintaining efficiencies, timelines, budgets, and specialist consultants Liaising with clients, consultants and assessing officers Managing staff, including delegating tasks and projects, reviewing work performed Ensuring the assigned scope is planned, scheduled, and delivered A business development drive About You Expertise in providing broad planning professional services across multiple industry sectors. Minimum 10 years' experience in a consulting/advisory role. In-depth understanding of, and have worked across or alongside subject matter experts in multiple technical disciplines such as environmental management/planning, engineering, architecture, infrastructure delivery, surveying, etc., in complex projects. Strong digital, spatial and innovation mindset and able to demonstrate and prioritise the use of spatial and digital data and insights to add value to planning and management. Experienced in and required to operate independently, lead projects, interface with clients, deliver excellence, help procure and develop emerging professionals. Our Culture
