Salary: Teacher, $82,317 - $119,246 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2021)
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 Southern River College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teacher to join our friendly team.
Southern River College seeks to create opportunities for all students progressing through their educational journey. With our ATAR pathway, general education and vocational programs we offer the scope for success for every child. Our Inspire programs in Lower School enables students to follow their passion with our Inspire Academic, Netball, Music, Soccer and Volleyball programs.
You will be working in a highly motivated and collaborative Arts department. SRC offers our specialised Inspire program for Years 7 to 10 and a General Music course in Years 11 and 12. It would be highly regarded to hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or ideally be willing to obtain this qualification.
The successful applicant will be able to work with the network to make Music prominent with their area of expertise; contemporary rock ensembles, choir, classical guitar ensemble and beginner concert bands. The opportunity to have students experience in and enjoy performing at assemblies, events and at community functions/events is the key.
The position is one of growth and building a program of excellence to perform and entertain. Initially, the successful applicant may need to teach in another Learning Area whilst also teaching our Inspire Music classes.
SRC offers the opportunity to grow the Inspire Program and General Music. The successful applicant can 'road map' a plan of Music success into the future.
