This vacancy is for a Fixed Term Full-Time or Part-Time appointment until 31/12/2025. What is our Senior Project Officer role? We are looking for a suitably qualified, highly motivated individual with appropriate knowledge and experience to join our amazing State Forensic Mental Health Service team at Graylands Hospital.
The Senior Project Officer (Youth) will undertake key redesign and reform initiatives related to the implementation of the Criminal Law Mental Impairment Act 2023 (CLMI) and service delivery development with the Child and Adolescent Forensic Service (CAFS), Youth Detention, and Links Children's Court services within the State Forensic Mental Health Service (SFMHS). The Senior Project Officer is an integral contributor to the planning, presentation, and delivery of key components of these projects in consultation with the Forensic Mental Health Project Manager and relevant Team Leads. Liaison and support for complex clinical and external stakeholder relationships is essential. Excellent communication skills are important as this role involves preparation of staff and consumer communications. Understanding of project management and service delivery documentation, including comprehensive risk analysis, governance frameworks, and communication plans is critical to the role.
Responsibilities: Setting up the new CLMI Interagency and Case Coordination Team within SFMHS Establishing service level mechanisms to meet the requirements of the new CLMI Establishing processes for the new Interagency Coordination and Case Coordination Team Contributing to the development of learning and training packages on the CLMI Act 2023 Contributing to non-CLMI aspects of forensic mental health service delivery and development Relevant clinical service knowledge is desired for this position. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorized delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
