The role The Manager Investigations role is predominately office based. You will be leading a team of investigators conducting investigations into fatal and serious incidents, preparing briefs of evidence for matters prosecuted in the relevant Courts, identifying and recommending safety outcomes, and preparing reports for complex and sensitive regulatory activities.
You will be responsible for the management and coordination of the work conducted by your team, the delivery of quality investigative outcomes, and coaching, mentoring, assessment, and training of investigators in your team.
You will produce and support others to produce a range of high-quality documents including reports and prosecution briefs.

Relevant experience in work, health and safety, equivalent to a diploma or higher qualification of work, health and safety. Considerable experience in conducting and managing complex investigations, including the preparation of briefs of evidence to achieve quality outcomes in required timeframes. Demonstrated experience in providing leadership, guidance, and coaching of a high-performance team to achieve strategic objectives and cultural change. This role is identified as having a higher likelihood of exposure to potentially traumatic events. This could involve attending or investigating fatalities or safety incidents, interacting with affected, distressed, and/or aggressive people, and exposure to material such as records containing potentially traumatic content.
The department has specific Potentially Traumatic Event Response Support processes and training available for this role.
