About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Communications and Events Officer to join our small dynamic Communications team.

In this role, you will work with the Media and Communications Manager to develop and implement communication strategies that align with ChemCentre's strategic objectives.
You will have experience in digital communications to create and manage digital content for a variety of platforms, including our website, intranet, newsletters, publications, and social media channels.

Additionally, you will assist in coordinating corporate and promotional events.

This is a full-time or part-time position (no less than 0.6FTE) offered on a Fixed Term Contract for two (2) years, with the possibility for extension or permanency.

Suitable applicants may be considered for like positions within 12 months from the date of finalisation of the selection process.

The position is located in Building 500, Resources and Chemistry Precinct, Manning Road, Bentley.

Eligibility
To be eligible for a fixed-term appointment, it is essential to have documentary evidence of your entitlements to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
To be eligible for a permanent position, Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is essential.

Upon appointment, applicants will require National Police Clearance, and pass a Fit for Work test (completed prior to commencement).

Selection Criteria 4: Experience in digital communications, including managing multiple social media platforms, and contemporary graphic design software eg Adobe InDesign; and Microsoft Office.

Selection Criteria 5 : Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to establish and cultivate strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Selection Criteria 6 : Experience in planning and delivering corporate and promotional events.

The remaining criteria will be assessed at a later stage of the recruitment and selection process.
