Clinical Midwife Specialist - Endorsed Midwife
We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Midwife Specialist – Endorsed Midwife to work as the Midwifery Manager of the Avon Valley Midwifery Group Practice in the unique Wheatbelt Region of Western Australia!
This is a six month fixed term position commencing in April 2025 with the possibility of extension and or permanency.
This position is based in Northam, the largest town in the Avon Valley region approximately 97km northeast of Perth. Northam is known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant community. About the OPPORTUNITY
This role provides advanced midwifery assessment, diagnosis, care and intervention to pregnant people and families within the scope of practice of an Endorsed Midwife. Also responsible for the utilisation of human, financial and material resources for the Midwifery Group Practice.
To be successful in this role, you will have...
Demonstrated advanced clinical experience, knowledge and leadership in midwifery care across the continuum Well-developed clinical problem solving skills including conceptual and analytical ability Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including negotiation skills Sound knowledge of relevant legislative and health regulating Acts including legislative obligations Experience in quality improvement, its practical application in meeting patient's needs and its relationship to strategic development Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery What we offer
