This hands-on venue support and people-focused role, works with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and that the venues are safe and welcoming for all users.
About You Ability and willingness to lift and move furniture and equipment (setting up for functions and events), in a safe manner, applying manual handling guidelines.
Willingness to work at venue sites (mainly Bondi Pavilion) across a rotating 7-day roster between ordinary hours of 6am – midnight including weekends and public holidays.
Willingness to be active to ensure the safe and smooth operation of a busy 2-3 level indoor/outdoor venue.
Experience working in a busy working public centred venue or environment Ability to manage challenging relationships/scenarios with stakeholders and resolve issues without conflict Interested in understanding all aspects of a venues functions and abilities to ensure the smooth running of a well-known and well-loved venue Knowledge and understanding of events industry Experience working with a diverse range of customers, clients, or members of the community Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team and exercise initiative, judgement, discretion, and sensitivity in a busy community hub venue subject to various challenges and pressures.
First Aid/CPR/Fire Warden A positive and collaborative working style.
Minimum intermediate level computer literacy across Microsoft suite and databases.
