You have proven leadership skills in managing a busy, high-volume restaurant and have the ability to operate the floor and train the FOH team. You stay calm under pressure and care about creating a welcoming environment for both staff and guests. As the Venue Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the venue's reputation and providing an outstanding dining experience. Key responsibilities will encompass supervision, training and coordination of food and beverage staff.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESVenue OperationsMaintain high levels of customer serviceDevelop and direct staffManage everyday operationsManage supplies of linen, paper goods and any other dry goods required by FOHEnforce adherence to regulations and quality standardsSupport and liaise with the kitchen regarding specials, menu notes, and dietary requirementsMaintain the venue's cleanliness and vibes - ensuring that the venue looks polished at all times, music and lighting are appropriate, and plants get some love!Communication between upper management and staffDaily shift reports to upper managementOversee daily operations, including restaurant, bar, and kitchen functions.Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies, coordinating orders and stock management with suppliers as needed.Enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all local and federal regulations.Report general maintenance and/or arrange repairs when required.Customer ExperienceCreate a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the Campground Kitchen experience and encourages repeat business.Ensure that all customers receive excellent service by ensuring staff provide prompt, friendly, and professional service.Handle customer complaints during shift, resolving any issues in a positive and timely manner.Oversee private functions and events, ensuring they run smoothly from start to finish.Staff ManagementTrain and supervise staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills needed to deliver exceptional service.Manage rostering needs of the business on a shift-by-shift basis (working closely with HCP OPS manager) and manage shift allocations to ensure adequate coverage, particularly during peak times. During quiet time, assess whether to have staff perform a 'quiet-time to-do list' or send casual staff home.Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing support, feedback, and development opportunities to foster a positive workplace culture.Monitor staff performance and conduct performance reviews, implementing improvement plans if necessary.Monitor daily sales and manage cash handling and reconciliation procedures.Work closely with the directors to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve financial targets.Prepare weekly operational reports, including sales figures and expenses.KEY CRITERIAQualifications and ExperienceCourse completed in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Food Safety CertificateRelevant practical experience in a Supervisory position with the ability to display required competencies.Strong understanding of restaurant/FOH operations and customer service standards.At least 2 years in a similar senior role.Skills and CompetenciesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, varying communication styles depending upon the audience.Attention to detail.Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and Google Workspace Suite.Willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.Personal AttributesA passion for hospitality and customer service.
