The Role: An exciting opportunity has emerged at the Armidale Golf Club for an 11-month contract (February to December 2025 maternity leave cover) as the Venue Manager. You will oversee all aspects of the club's operations, from managing staff to streamlining processes. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient daily operations and delivering an exceptional experience for patrons. This is a hands-on role suited for a proactive professional with proven experience in venue management.
Key Responsibilities: Venue Operations Management:Oversee all aspects of venue operations, including customer service, event coordination, catering, and maintenance, collaborating closely with other leaders.Ensure smooth and efficient execution of all venue activities.Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to meet venue needs effectively.Manage function booking systems to ensure optimal scheduling and space allocation.Work in collaboration with the Duty Manager, Golf Shop Leader, and Course Superintendent.Staff Supervision and Leadership:Lead, train, and supervise the operations team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Focus on team performance, development, and motivation to enhance productivity and service quality.Allocate resources and ensure adequate staffing levels for each event or activity.Coordinate rosters with the Duty Manager.Customer Experience and Client Relations:Maintain high standards of service and customer satisfaction, addressing concerns or issues promptly and professionally.Implement customer feedback initiatives to improve service quality and operational efficiency.Budget and Financial Oversight:Manage expenses within the allocated budget.Collaborate with the Duty Manager and Golf Shop Leader to drive revenue growth through strategic initiatives.Health and Safety Compliance:Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and licensing regulations.Oversee cleanliness, safety protocols, and emergency procedures to create a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.Qualifications: Proven experience in venue management, hospitality, or a related field.Current RSA and RCG; ARCG desirable, can be done on the job.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for customer service.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a strong attention to detail.Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly during high-volume periods.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Why Join Us?
