The role

We are seeking a Venue Hire Support Officer to join the Creative Activities Team. Reporting to the Venue Hire Coordinator,

your role will be to: Support the Venue Hire Coordinator in delivering exceptional event services across Kingston's venues. Provide high-level customer service and client management for community and professional hirers. Prepare quotes, manage bookings using Council's venue booking software, and ensure compliance with venue hire policies. Assist in promoting Kingston as a major centre for arts, community, and cultural events.

This is a dynamic role for someone passionate about arts and events, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys interacting with a diverse range of clients. You will have the opportunity to help shape cultural and community activities within Kingston's vibrant venues. About you

We are looking for someone with: Experience in arts, venue hire, hospitality, or events management, with a focus on customer service. Strong organisational and administrative skills, including proficiency in event management systems (e.g. Momentus). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal stakeholders, community members, and arts professionals. A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
