Your new role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Venue and Event Coordinator to join our team at Curtin University's St Georges Terrace Precinct.
Based at two heritage-listed buildings—137 and 139 St Georges Terrace—you will oversee day-to-day venue operations, manage events, and help showcase our exceptional spaces to a wide range of audiences.

This role is central to supporting Curtin's engagement with city-based businesses, industry partners, government bodies, and the community.
In 2025, you'll also contribute to the exciting commercialisation of these venues, positioning them as sought-after spaces for Curtin Partners and Curtin Alumni.

As the Venue and Event Coordinator you will: Coordinate venue bookings, including meetings, conferences, and events.Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders.Oversee day-to-day venue operations, liaising with landlords, service providers, and contractors to ensure facilities remain in top condition.Promote the venues to external audiences, showcasing Curtin's unique offerings.Collaborate with Curtin's John Curtin Gallery and University Advancement team on hosting the Carrolup Centre for Truth-telling portal gallery space, scheduled to open 2025.About You

To thrive in this role, you will have:
At least 5 years of experience in event or venue coordination, ideally within a large and complex organisation.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.A commitment to delivering high-quality service and creating memorable client experiences.Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.Proficiency in venue management systems such as Momentus (formerly Ungerboeck) is desirable.Work Requirements: Must be based in Perth, WA, with full Australian working rights.On-site attendance is required, remote work is not available.Ability to work outside of normal office hours as required.About us
