This role requires statutory compliance in all facets of ventilation management, including hazard protocols and environmental responsibilities.Health and Safety Leadership: Ensure compliance with safety policies and strategies while actively engaging in hazard prevention, protocol management, and incident reporting.Operational Management: Implement and manage gas monitoring systems, including atmospheric sampling, alarm functions, and response actions in case of detection or system failure.Monthly Reporting: Conduct ventilation status checks, issue reports to management, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain regulatory compliance.Long-term Strategy: Develop ventilation models and plans to support future mining needs, including sealing completed areas and ensuring mine sections are safely inert.Continuous Improvement: Review and implement updates to hazard management plans and assess advancements in ventilation technology to enhance current systems.Skills & QualificationsEssential:Certified Ventilation OfficerGraduate Diploma in Mine VentilationCompetency in Risk Management SystemsDesirable:Certificate IV in Training & AssessmentProject management skills with the ability to prioritize under changing conditionsStrong interpersonal abilities and intermediate computer skills, particularly in MS Office
