Job Description:Established in 2016, our Grosvenor Mine is an underground steelmaking coal operation based in the township of Moranbah, QLD. We offer modern facilities for camp accommodation with a short travel time of only five minutes from the mine site, Anglo American housing options and healthy meals!Reporting to the Ventilation & Gas Superintendent, you will provide advice on ventilation matters, optimizing the value of the mine and implement the short to medium term ventilation strategy for Grosvenor Mine.Some of your responsibilities will include:Provide best practice advice to key personnel on ventilation and gas mattersPrepare, publish and communicate ventilation and gas management plans that are accurate, identify impacts on mine safety, production or other external sourcesEnsure plans are understood by establishing appropriate delivery formats and forums and conducting 6 monthly informal audits to assess understandingApplying the Ventilation and Gas Management Plan and routinely updating the document to reflect the state of the businessEnsure that all Ventilation approvals for operating the mines are in place in a timely mannerEnsure that all ventilation / gas management matters relating to legislation, SHMS, SOPs are completed according to scheduleOptimise the LOM Ventilation and Gas drainage plans in collaboration with SME's to allow for a sustainable operationStreamline reporting process of ventilation and gas drainage measures for various management routines Qualifications:To be successful in this role you will have:Demonstrated Underground Coal mining experience preferably in ventilationBachelor's degree in mining engineering, Geology / Geotechnical or equivalentAstute business acumen and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines and prioritiesStrong interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as the ability to drive performanceExperience with Ventsim, AutoCAD, XPAC and MS ProjectCompetencies in Ventilation or Gas Drainage highly desirableA statutory ticket and / or VO ticket will be highly regarded
