Our Rescue & Fire Fighting (RFF) services currently extend from stations in WA, SA, VIC, NSW, and QLD. Due to the evolving nature of this contract, we are currently employing a Station Officer for our Fire and Rescue operations located at HMAS Cerberus.
The successful Station Officer will respond to incidents as required and perform duties as directed by the Regional Manager.
The position we are seeking will be placed permanently on the following rostered shift pattern: 42 hour week worked in consecutive shifts over an 8 week cycle of: 2 Day shifts from 0800 hours to 1800 hours 2 Night shifts from 1800 hours to 0800 hours To be considered for this role it is mandatory you have the following minimum Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of 60 months as a paid firefighter within the fire and rescue industry Completed all required Public Safety units (including site specific units) up to and including the position of Station Officer in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement. PUA20613 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) PUA30613 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) Hold PUA40313 Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision). Hold Certificate IV TAE Ventia require specific units from within the Certificate levels including the following Public Safety Aviation Units: PUAFIR305B Respond to Aviation Incidents (General) PUAFIR205B Respond to Aviation Incidents (Specialist) PUAFIR209B Work safely around aircraft. Driver's Licence (HR) HLTAID003 Provide First Aid HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation Other special conditions: A proven track record for performance and professionalism within the fire industry Eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting 1 (secret). As a result of this requirement, the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
