Ventia is currently seeking an Electrician who is looking to upskill into High Voltage (HV) Operator to join their Defence contract in Darwin. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals to be trained in electrical trade activities related to the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment and systems within the Defence Region Comprehensive Maintenance Services contract.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair electrical systems: Effectively identify issues and ensure that test plans are in line with quality, technical procedures, work instructions, and safety standards. Safety management: Plan, document, and supervise operating procedures to maintain safety across the Base HV System operations. Technical control: Exercise technical oversight over the Base Electrical System in alignment with Defence requirements. HV/LV operations: Operate High Voltage and/or Low Voltage generators, auxiliaries, and load control systems as required. Maintenance tasks: Conduct inspections, repairs, and perform scheduled maintenance tasks. Reporting: Complete work orders, log tasks in the Defence maintenance management system, and report faults to supervisors. Skills & Experience: Class A Electrical Licence (NT) is essential. Valid Australian Driver's Licence required. Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain an ADF (Australian Defence Force) Clearance. Local commuter vehicle provided by the company. Full training provided for the role. Full-time, ongoing role with Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. Diversity Statement:
