The purpose of this role is to assist in pioneering the Agriculture Trade and Regulation Group external integration capabilities, solutions, practices, and procedures to enable the branch to collaborate with our clients in a more efficient and effective way. This role will assist in enabling customers to complete their export practices end-to-end within their natural systems whilst transparently and efficiently meeting government, international and legal trade requirements. As a Government Department, there are stringent expectations for managing, traversing, and sharing data which require familiarity in determining solutions and agreeing ways of working. The Department is striving to deliver a consistent client experience no matter how the client engages with the Department in a way that enables trust, security, assurance, and transparency. This role will work across the diverse client stakeholder community to support user research and analysis activities, assist in delivering third-party software provider onboarding and partnership frameworks, and agree service levels. The successful candidate will promote the delivery of technical solutions that align with architecture principles and support the Department, Division, and Branch digital service ambitions and strategies. This role requires someone with excellent relationship and communication capabilities as well as technical capability to understand, drive and deliver solutions to achieve the desired client interactions. As the Vendor Relationship Officer, you will collaborate with Multi-Disciplinary Teams to deliver digital services to modernise and streamline the way exporters conduct their business.Who we areThe Digital Business Division (DBD) has been established to bring together the retail digital functions from the Digital Trade Initiatives, Biosecurity Digital Reform Branch along with the Digital and Analytics Office within the Agricultural Trade and Regulation Group. The goal is to create a range of efficiencies in delivering best-in-class digital and data products. The division is responsible for a suite of mission-critical systems and services. Incorporating the Taking Farmers to Market (TFTM) and the Simplified Targeting and Enhanced Processing System (STEPS) programs. The division's purpose is to deliver the important digital business and service reforms for the Department. DBD is at the forefront of large-scale changes to our agricultural export systems and biosecurity cargo clearance systems, leveraging the experience of our customers and stakeholders as part of our digital transformation. Digital and data offers compelling opportunities for transformation, allowing us to explore and rethink the way we build and deliver services. This ground-breaking work will have a significant impact as we deliver on the many services that will benefit the nation.The Digital Export Program Branch (DEPB) modernises and sustains digital export services by future-proofing current and emerging systems. DEPB supports the movement of agricultural exports by ensuring our export services are highly available, monitored, and maintained. We deliver user-focused efficiencies through self-service capabilities and enhanced services, improving the export process for exporters, staff, and industry by building modern, flexible, integrated services.The Export Service is a digital platform that helps export businesses get their goods to market by completing Australian government export requirements, regulations, and services online.
