Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Fyfe is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing comprehensive engineering, environmental, planning, and surveying services throughout Australia. Fyfe works with a wide range of clients in the Energy & Resources, Infrastructure, and Property sectors to provide high-quality, commercially pragmatic solutions with a strong focus on client service and delivery. Fyfe's Energy and Resources Group works with major exploration and distribution clients to deliver specialist oil and gas, mining, hydrogen, and renewable energy projects across the country. These include upstream flowlines, leases, network gathering and distribution systems, major gas transmission pipelines, oil and gas above-ground processing facilities, as well as maintenance and construction-related work programs. About the Role: We are looking for an Experienced Vendor Expeditor to join our Perth office and work on a diverse range of projects. The role will be responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment from vendors, and will act as a key liaison between Fyfe and its clients, working to maintain strong relationships, resolve issues, and continuously improve procurement processes.
Responsibilities: Conduct Market Research: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring they meet project needs and maintaining an updated procurement database, including supplier qualifications and capabilities. Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and align on business requirements, scopes, and specifications. This includes preparing RFQs and RFPs, issuing NDAs, and ensuring timely, professional issuance of all procurement documentation. Procurement Execution: Follow Fyfe's procurement principles to ensure an effective bidding process that supports project success. This includes handling procurement tasks for infrastructure and resource projects and adhering to deadlines. Communication Management: Serve as the main point of contact between internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the procurement process is smooth, compliant, and transparent. Weekly Procurement Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders, highlighting the progress of procurement activities and ensuring that all procurement KPIs are met during the bidding phase. RFQ Analysis and Evaluation: Review and assess supplier submissions, create commercial comparison sheets, and identify potential areas for improvement to secure competitive outcomes. Compliance and Ethical Standards: Ensure all procurement activities strictly adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and transparency requirements. Customer Service: Maintain high standards of service to all business units and ensure that procurement activities meet the needs of various teams across the organization. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience gained in Supply Chain and Procurement Departments within Infrastructure, Energy, and Resource sectors. Excellent communication skills with multiple stakeholders and JV partners. Confidence in having technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to analyze prices by assessing basic cost drivers (Raw Material, Manpower, Depreciation, etc.). Enjoy working with a large amount of data and information, applying your commercial acumen and analytical skills to draw insights from the data and provide commercial recommendations to your stakeholders. Attention to detail while being able to deliver outcomes within a pressed time frame. Have a curious mind, take initiative, enjoy collaborative work, and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced working environment. Team player, flexible in supporting various types of bids and projects.
