A great opportunity for a Vehicle Mechanic to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Bandiana near Wodonga, NSW. About the role As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD's, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks!
Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classificationRepair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaces partsCarry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairsTest and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection.Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates Benefits $46.88 per hour, inclusive of allowancesWork 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on FridaysWork on unique Defence vehicle and assetsTraining & Upskilling providedRelocation assistance for the right candidate17.5% Annual Leave LoadingAll tools, PPE and Uniforms providedOn-site Parking About you Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent levelOpen to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated Heavy vehicle experienceDemonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehiclesMust possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's LicenseYou must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
