Your commitment to excellence aligns with KBR's mission of operational readiness and reliable support for essential functions.This is a contingent position based upon contract award.What You'll DoIn the role of Vehicle Mechanic, your duties will include:Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems in a vehicle.Explaining mechanical problems and possible solutions to customers.Planning work and testing procedures using charts, experience, and other organizational methods.Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly.Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested.Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil and rotating tires.Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective parts of a vehicle.Requirements:Must have a US Secret or AUS NV-1 Clearance.Must be a US or Australian certified vehicle mechanic.Must have a minimum of five years of experience in vehicle maintenance.Requires a high school diploma, and further specialized training in automotive service technology.Though not necessary, an associate degree with classes in math, electronics, or auto repair is desired.This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
