Maxitool PNG requires an experienced Vehicle Fire Suppression System Technician to join our team to install, service and maintain fire protection systems and equipment to AUST standards of quality and deliver excellence whilst exceeding customer service expectations at every available opportunity.
About the Position: FIFO to PNG ex Cairns or BrisbaneRoster 22 days on 20 offFlights and accommodation providedYour duties will include: Identify, service, and repair fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance with AUST procedures and processesComplete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on fire protection systems and equipment using logbooks and associated documents, in an accurate, legible and timely mannerManage and maintain all assigned company property, including documents, tools, equipment, vehicles, product, etc.Report work progress and performance by completing productivity / key performance indicator (KPI) reportsInstallation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems Extinguishers of various brands and typesConduct risk assessments with clients on machinery and record the outcomes and recommendationsDesign and certify systems and record the commission details in the company databaseMinimum Requirements: Trade Qualified Vehicle Suppression Technician5+ years' experience requiredExposure and working knowledge on Chubb & other fire suppression systemsAbility to build customer relationships and provide a high standard of customer serviceUp to date product and industry knowledge, and an understanding of where to locate the relevant informationEffectively manage time and resources, ability to problem solveA solid understanding of the Australian standards applicable to vehicle fire protection equipmentDemonstrated ability to install, service, repair, advise and report to full compliance requirementsUnderstanding of Hydraulic systemsCommitment to Work, Health & Safety PracticesNational Police ClearanceAbility to pass mine medical assessments and D&AAbility to undertake continuous 12-hour shift rotationsAbility and experience in FIFO workWhat We Offer: Competitive salary in line with experience and qualificationsContinuous employment with a strong and family-oriented companyIf you feel you have the experience, qualifications and skillset we are looking for click the "Apply" button and submit your updated resume together with a covering letter outlining how your experience meets the key requirements of the role.
