Reporting to the Operations Manager at Jacon Equipment & Comet Equipment, this position will be primarily responsible for working with aftermarket support for technical needs for utility vehicles, concrete pumping equipment, concrete transportation equipment, stackers, and water tanks for mobile equipment nationally, and sometimes internationally.We encourage all trades that wish to learn to apply as we will train you.This role will involve the excitement of being involved with new equipment going to market and supporting the current fleet operational. The position does involve travel to mine sites, civil construction sites, and other areas where our equipment operates.The expectation of this role is to develop higher skilled activities for equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis. Predelivery work and service on occasions will be needed. There is also an active hire fleet where pre-hire and de-hire inspections are needed, as well as on-site support.Key responsibilities:This role is an active role with a 60-70% field exposure.Technical support to customers, internal and external.Advise and give feedback to the factory from customer feedback.Training of clients and commissioning of equipment.Repairs and maintenance based on requests from customers.On-site support for hire fleet.Pre-hire and de-hire inspection reports for equipment.Testing, adjusting, and fault-finding diagnostics.Root cause analyses of parts that are failing in the field, along with inputs and advice on warranty claims.Liase with the sales team, factory engineering, supply chain, and the customer of our products.Installation of modification kits along with checking installation instructions from the factory.Site Maintenance Planning, Auditing, and making recommendations on best practice site maintenance programs.Building of training material.Other duties as required.The position is based in Sydney, Newcastle, or Brisbane; however, it can be flexible for the correct candidate.If you are a mechanic working on cars, forklifts, cranes, or other types of mobile equipment with plant and maintenance experience and wish to advance your career, we will train you.
