Vegies Unlimited has been established for over 30 years, specialising in Fruit & Vegetables. We support other local businesses and employ local staff contributing to a resilient local community. We have a retail outlet serving the general public and a wholesale depot where we pack orders for customers such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, aged care facilities, hospitals and accommodation camps.
We are seeking retail staff to join our customer service retail team.
Role Description includes but is not limited to: Customer service - Greet customers & help with enquiries Cash handling – Point of sale operation Food preparation - Sorting, cutting, bagging & cleaning fruit & vegetables for displays Stocking shelves - Sorting, filling and rotating stock on the shelves Quality control - Stock rotation, checking quality of produce/use by dates & best before dates Stock picking from cold room Cleaning & maintaining a neat & tidy work environment Maintain a neat and tidy personal appearance Responsibility for opening and closing the retail outlet Hours of work and remuneration: This position is casual.
The retail outlet operates 7 days per week Roster may involve early starts Your package can include above award wages, bonus systems and overtime Selection criteria: Experience as a retail sales person Food industry/Fresh produce experience and knowledge Customer service/Hospitality experience and knowledge Reasonably fit as some heavy lifting is required Special knowledge/skills that would be an advantage to the business: Ability to prioritise work Ability to supervise staff Ability to multi-task An immediate start is on offer if you would like to become a valued member of Vegies Unlimited's team and fulfil a challenging and rewarding role.
