Position Purpose In this vital role, you will manage the end-to-end process that delivers contract compliance, workflow efficiencies, cost savings in line with budget requirements, customer/stakeholder accountability/improvements, and detailed record keeping that aligns with Vegetation management systems, priorities, and milestones.
Manage all internal and external stakeholders affected by identified hazardous vegetation, including overall coordination of planned suppression and outages on the Network for all hazardous/discretionary vegetation activities Other requirements of the role include meeting key stakeholders such as Councils, National Parks, Rural Fire Service and Endeavour Energy network designers etc, to advise, guide and provide input into their tree planting, tree management plans and network designs etc.
Manage, risk rate, prioritise, quote, measure, and report on identified hazardous vegetation.
Emphasise the importance of safe work practices and adherence to safety policies and procedures in conducting work; and ensure work is planned and conduced with safety as a priority and that adequate resources are available to complete projects in a safe manner.
Evaluate and report on the capability of the contracted service providers to deliver programmed work.
Develop, improve, and implement workplace instructions, processes, and workflows to efficiently and effectively deliver all vegetation management programs.
Establish contracts and specifications for all hazard management works to provide clear direction.
Coordinate and facilitate category tree removals with the contractor and stakeholders to align with the cyclic program within contact budget constraints.
Provide Hazard tree identification course for both internal and external stakeholders as required.
Managing the internal relationship with key stakeholders like TSOs and depots; planning, understanding, implementing and issuing work in the most efficient and effective way so it is in line with the TSO/depot program.
Strategically, (Annually) meet key stakeholders such as Councils, National Parks, Rural Fire Service etc.
to advise, guide and provide input into their tree planting, tree management plans, streetscape design and back burning.
Develop workplace instruction to, coordinate, facilitate, record, and document Endeavour Energy tree planting program within a designated budget.
Manage the sustainability requirements for the Vegetation management group as per the business needs along with any ad-hoc requirements in relation to environment and sustainability.
Maintain all Network competencies and training and keep informed of all Network access requirements or changes.
Write D&R requests and negotiate outages with customers, as required, to meet the organisation's service obligations and reduce SAIDI as much as possible.
Carry out site inspections (as required) of proposed works to assess safety, plant and related resourcing requirements as part of the preparation of job packets.
