ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT:
The Bundaberg Rum Visitor Experience is a 7 day a week operation with this role required to contribute to ensuring that outstanding performance is delivered compliantly every day.
Complexity in this role comes from:
Working safely on a hazardous goods site whilst managing the safety of visitors and staff.Working as a part of a large team (up to 30 people).Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as required.FINANCIAL DIMENSION: Assist with the delivering of agreed commercial and customer service targets.PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The primary role of the Bundaberg Rum Distillery Visitor Experience Retail Sales Assistant is to support and contribute to a high level of service and deliver an exceptional experience to consumers. Additionally, the Bundaberg Rum Distillery Visitor Experience Retail Sales Assistant will be expected to model positive behaviours such as proactive consumer engagement, immersive storytelling, and model a growth mindset to also contribute positively to a large, diverse, cross functional team.
They will be responsible for achieving service and sales targets, which can involve various staff training such as selling techniques (on selling/ up selling) and product knowledge (features and benefits). All staff are required and encouraged to educate consumers to discover Bundaberg Rum and its products along with promoting a responsible drinking culture.

Assist the wider Visitor Experience team in delivering financial, visitation and customer service targets.Grow and foster the loyalty agenda.Drive safety, compliance and ethical standards:
Adhere to our site's safety standards and promote the safety culture in the Visitor Experience team to ensure that all our staff and guests remain safe.Drive compliance and cash handling responsibilities in line with CARM guidelines.Represent our client and the Bundaberg Rum brand in a responsible and professional manner.Promote social responsibility in the consumption of alcohol products and adherence to the Diageo marketing code.QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS REQUIRED:
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience:
RSA2+ years of Retail/ Tourism/ Hospitality experience.Strong desire to learn more about the Bundaberg Rum story, brand, and its characteristics.Possess a friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality.Be familiar with sales protocols and customer service procedures.An excellent communicator, both verbal and written.Possess the ability to build positive relationships with customers.
