The Teacher – VCE Psychology provides high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to VCE students, to:
support student success in Psychology and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathwaysensure BHI compliance requirements are met.The Teacher – VCE is responsible for liaising with students, relevant industry groups, community services providers, and employees of BHI at all levels. This position reports to the Manager Schools Unit.
About You: A relevant tertiary qualification in Education and experience teaching Senior Secondary Programs in the VCE and VCE VMCurrent VIT RegistrationDemonstrated ability to design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date and engaging course materials and lessonsProficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for studentsAbility to develop a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards, including unit plans and assessment toolsExperience with student management systems for attendance tracking, retrieval of student details where required, and resultingHigh level awareness of, and responsiveness to, people from a broad range of diverse backgrounds and emotional contextsAppreciation of administrative requirements for the coordination of vocational education and training, and understanding of OH&S, equity and equal opportunities legislation in TAFE teachingDemonstrated ability to identify both potential and existing issues and setbacks within a classroom, and to effectively resolve these issuesAbility to motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomesAbout Us:
