Location Profile Edgars Creek Secondary College is situated in the growth corridor of Wollert, in the geographical area of Whittlesea in Melbourne. Our college currently comprises approximately 1308 students and consists of 130 staff, including Principal class, Education Support Staff, Leading Teachers, Learning Specialists, and Classroom teachers. The college is purpose built with modern facilities, including classrooms, Food Technology, robotics, and coding labs, as well as a multi court gym and community-maintained sports ovals.

Selection Criteria SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
SC2: Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies.
SC3: Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
SC5: Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.
Role The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges - range 1 and range 2. The primary focus is on planning, preparation, and teaching to achieve specific student outcomes. Classroom teachers engage in critical reflection to improve their practice.
Responsibilities The role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups and individual students; Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation; Participating in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings; Undertaking non-teaching supervisory duties. Who May Apply Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum area(s).
