We have a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce that is unified by our goal to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives.About the department:The Department of Vascular Surgery, as part of the Division of Surgery Anaesthesia & Procedural Medicine, is responsible for the provision of diagnostic, outpatient, open vascular and endovascular surgical services to patients across Austin Health.
Located primarily at the Austin Hospital, the Department is committed to the provision of high-quality patient care and maintains an ongoing commitment to Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching.
It also provides a consultative service for other teams within Austin Health and is highly engaged with multidisciplinary surgical care.
Outpatient clinics run regularly at the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and Austin Tower campuses of Austin Health.
The Vascular Surgery Head of Department is A/Prof Jason Chuen.About the role:Employment Status: Part-time ongoingAdditional notes: Various sessions availableTo be successful for this role you must:Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalentHave appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Vascular SurgeryHold or be eligible for membership of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Vascular SurgeryHold or be eligible for a Radiation Use License, Victorian Department of Health (Radiation Act 2005).Demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient careDemonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum, andDemonstrate a commitment to teaching, training and research.Application Instructions:As part of the process, you will be directed to Austin Health's Online Credentialing System to complete your application.
