Join the Office of the Leader of the Opposition in the ACT Legislative Assembly Are you passionate about policy, media, or community service?

The Leader of the ACT Opposition, Leanne Castley MLA, is seeking motivated individuals to fill a range of roles, including Policy Advisers, Media Advisers, Electorate Officers, and Admin Support.
These positions offer a unique opportunity to influence policy, engage with media and stakeholders, and directly support the ACT community.

You'll be part of a dedicated team, working closely with Opposition MLAs and community stakeholders to drive positive change in the ACT.
Who We're Looking For Successful candidates will bring relevant experience — whether in policy, media, community engagement or administrative support.
Experience in a parliamentary or ministerial office is a plus.
Conduct policy research, write briefs and provide strategic adviceLiaise with government, community, and portfolio stakeholdersSupport parliamentary work, including scrutiny of legislation and speech writingDevelop press releases, opinion pieces, social media contentProactively establish and maintain relationships with media stakeholdersMonitor media, brief MLAs and staff, and develop proactive media strategies and tacticsElectorate Officers Engage directly with the ACT community through community events, mobile offices, phone calls, doorknockingHandle correspondence and enquiries from constituents, resolving their concerns and issuesSupport parliamentary work, including community petitions and speech writingOffice Administration Provide administrative support, including diary management and event coordinationSupport policy, media and electorate advisers with the preparation of correspondence, briefs and other tasks as requiredWhat We Offer Our roles come with competitive remuneration reflecting experience and skill level.
