The Attorney-General's Department is seeking candidates to fill current and future vacancies across various positions at the APS Level 5 classification.
The department achieves this by conducting a Talent Pipeline process.
This process will be used to create a merit pool to fill vacancies at this level across the department for the duration of the merit pool.

Justice and Communities Group is responsible for key aspects of Australia's justice system, including the federal courts, tribunals, and the family law system.Integrity and International Group has legislative and policy responsibility for administrative law, information law, anti-corruption and fraud, human rights, modern slavery, and human trafficking.National Security and Criminal Justice Group is responsible for a range of national security and criminal justice laws and policies, including transnational serious and organised crime, cybercrime, cross-border data access, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism, counter-espionage and foreign interference, electronic surveillance, and law enforcement and criminal intelligence powers.Enabling Services Group supports the department's corporate and organisational operations, including strategy and governance, human resources, corporate services, and information and communications technology.How you can help us make a difference: Create solutions - Understand organisational strategy as it relates to team goals.Demonstrate agility - Display a flexible approach to work, showing willingness to explore opportunities as they arise.Communicate effectively - Be aware of key stakeholders and tailor communication to meet their needs.Lead with commitment - Self-evaluate own performance, benchmarking against feedback from supervisors and relevant others.Collaborate with purpose - Display sound judgement in exploring solutions to stakeholder issues.Be accountable for quality outcomes - Show awareness of risk and escalate issues appropriately.Certain positions require formal legal qualifications.
For these positions, applicants must hold a degree in law from an Australian tertiary institution or a comparable overseas qualification, which, in the opinion of the Secretary, is appropriate to the duties of the office, or admission in Australia as a legal practitioner.
