Vaping Project Officer

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the role of Vaping Prevention Support Officer.This position is part-time, two days a week, for a duration of months.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration, with a passion for public health and the skills to support initiatives aimed at combating vaping among youth and promoting healthier lifestyles.If you are motivated to make a difference in our community and possess high-level administrative experience, we encourage you to apply.Oversee the planning and execution of a critical initiative aimed at mitigating vaping-related harms within the community.Engage and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, utilizing relationships and coordinating their involvement in the project.Organize and manage project activities and deliverables, ensuring adherence to project timelines.A strong grasp of modern health promotion principles, including collective impact and systems thinking, is desirable.Two days a week, ideally on Tuesdays and Thursdays.Offering a salary of $, (pro rata) + % super.You'll be situated in our modern, eco-friendly office at Malvern Town Hall, surrounded by boutique shops, cafes, and fitness centers.Conveniently, Malvern Gardens, High Street Armadale, and Glenferrie Road are all within walking distance.Additionally, Malvern and Armadale Train Stations are nearby, and tram stops are right outside the building.Desired Skills and Experience What you'll need to thrive: Demonstrated success in managing projects and engaging stakeholders to achieve project goals.Proficiency in contemporary health promotion principles, including collective impact and systems thinking.Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships across diverse stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with various stakeholders.Prior experience in community-focused environments, preferably within the Local Government sector.A degree in community development, health promotion, or a related field is advantageous.
