Job Title: Van DriverLocation: Townsville Delivery Centre, West End, QLDEntity: Australia PostOpening Date: 31-Oct-2024Work Type: Permanent Part TimeWeekly Hours: 20Description & RequirementsPermanent part-time position working 20 hours per weekCommitment required to work Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 6:00pmAs our Van Driver, you'll be operating and delivering in our vans as the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting Australians every single day. You might not be working from home, but you'll be working autonomously out on-the-road, interacting with others and being a team player.You'll be:Safely performing and operating a van to pick up mail from Street Posting Boxes, Corporate Offices, Licensed Post Offices, and Delivery CentresPicking up mail and parcel items from our customersUnloading mail articles from vans and manually sorting them into small or large letters and parcels including express postsCompleting your own daily vehicle safety checkPaired up with our experienced senior drivers, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional developmentAbout you:Hold a full or probationary QLD driver's licenceHave experience driving a van or similar sized vehicle (all our vans are automatic)Successfully pass our mandatory and practical driving assessmentBe flexible with working additional hours if requiredHave a great memory, excellent attention to detail, and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularlyMeet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or lessHow we'll deliver for you:Post probationary hourly rate is $30.93 per hour plus 12% superannuationWe invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and SafetyBe part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued and can bring their authentic self to work every dayWe invest in your personal well-being, recognise and reward you for your contribution to our successWe're delivering together:At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
