Vacation Student opportunity: Build the extraordinary, every day The  Hatch Vacation Student Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career.
Within the  Ports and Terminals Group , the core work will be structural engineering of maritime structures such as wharves, jetties, shiploaders, and seawalls. You will design concrete and steel structural members to Australian and International Standards using structural design packages. We can also support you to gain exposure to a complimentary area of your interest, for example project management, master planning, smart ports, automation, asset management or coastal processes.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to complete project deliverables for clients Develop mentoring relationships with experienced professionals and experts Work towards individual career goals Work in a flexible framework and environment Attend networking events, opportunities, and activities Continuously learn and develop through a variety of challenging work experiences and career pathways You bring to the role: You will be working towards a bachelor/master's degree in Structural Engineering, ideally in your third year (or later) of study, with a strong academic record. Candidates will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborators with the ability to think laterally and innovatively to solve problems. You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change.
The 12-week, full-time program commences on Monday, 18 Nov 2024 . Please note, during this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen Monday, 6 January 2025 .
