About Earth Sciences and Engineering (ESE)ESE specializes in:

Vacation Student Opportunity: Build the Extraordinary, Every DayThe Hatch Vacation Student Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career.
As part of the Earth Sciences and Engineering team, you will assist the team in providing Civil/Geotechnical/Hydrotechnical Engineering design expertise to Hatch's commodity-based business units (e.g., mining and minerals processing, public infrastructure, and energy) and have the opportunity to rotate between Civil, Geotechnical, and Hydrotechnical.
Our capability spans through the whole project lifecycle, comprising:
ScopingConceptual designPre-feasibility and feasibility studiesBasic and detailed engineeringConstructionProject managementYou Bring to the RoleYou will be working towards a bachelor/master's degree in Structural/Civil/Geotechnical/Environmental Engineering, ideally in your third year (or later) of study, with a strong academic record. Candidates will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborators with the ability to think laterally and innovatively to solve problems.
You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change. The 12-week, full-time program commences on Monday, 18 Nov 2024. Please note, during this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen Monday, 6 January 2025.
