In this role you will lead and coordinate the Verification & Validation, Testing, and Commissioning activities for the CCS system, both on-site and off-site.
Reporting to the CCS Onshore Lead, you will be supporting interface and integration activities, supporting training, and facilitating interactions with clients and operators throughout the project's lifecycle - from design through delivery to final snag resolution.
Key Responsibilities: Support Interface Design: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure that all interfaces are properly integrated and ready for the testing phases. Develop and Manage Plans: Create, implement, and oversee Verification & Validation (V&V) and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) plans, schedules, and strategies for the Control and Command Systems (CCS). Coordinate with Partners: Work closely with interface partners to confirm that all systems and subsystems are test-ready, available, and compatible.
This involves regular communication and coordination to address any issues that may arise. Lead On-Site Activities: Supervise on-site testing and commissioning activities, including leading teams, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems.
Ensure that all activities are conducted efficiently and effectively. Track and Implement Changes: Monitor and document any changes to system interfaces and configurations.
Manage bug reports from identification to resolution and oversee the completion of snag/punch list items, ensuring all issues are tracked and resolved. Prepare and Finalize Reports: Collect, review, and organize test results from both on-site and off-site activities.
Prepare comprehensive test reports and ensure all activities comply with safety and operational protocols. Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in rail systems with at least 3-4 years specifically focused on Testing and Commissioning of Central Control Systems (CCS) or Communication (COM) systems within the rail industry. In-depth experience with Rail Operation Control Centres (OCC), central SCADA systems for rail, and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and configuration management. Proven ability to lead site teams, manage site activities, and plan high-quality, on-schedule deployments in a dynamic and high-stakes environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at coordinating with multi-national teams and working under pressure. Experience working in fast-paced, multi-country, and high-pressure project environments, with a focus on meeting and exceeding stakeholder expectations.
