UX/UI Mobile Designer Local Peoples is seeking enthusiastic and talented UX/UI Mobile Designer in the ACT, NSW, QLD to join our team as embedded members with our prestigious Government client.
The UX/UI Mobile Designer is responsible for delivering experience design expertise and solutions which contribute to and deliver the experience design of Agency's products, services, supporting wider programs delivery.
Within this role you will be exercising your expertise and knowledge to contribute to project delivery & strategic approaches which ensure a customer centred approach to solving complex UX/UI design problems and outcomes.
The UX/UI Designer will collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and customers to promote evidence-led design.
The User Experience Designer will help design and maintain tools and processes which will help establish a solid foundation for the design process by creating design frameworks, interface pattern libraries, and design guidelines.
This will ensure consistency, quality, efficiency, and clarity in the design delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities: Provide expertise and technical knowledge in design across a range of programs for the agency, such as advocating best practice design methods and processes and offering specialized UX/UI design advice.
Set priorities for the work area, maintain delivery cohesion, and effectively manage competing priorities.
Contribute to the development of team objectives and propose innovation initiatives to improve business practices.
Ensure quality outputs for the design team and conduct regular quality design assurance during product release activities.
Have an in-depth knowledge of the agency's role and functions, understanding the health and government context to design within this framework.
Work independently with limited direction, make decisions using good judgment and expertise, and perform research and analysis for complex issues.
Manage relationships with stakeholders, anticipate and respond to their needs, and develop and support complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience: Generating ideas and deliver user-experience design solutions which ensures a high quality of experience, consistency and usability across multiple digital platforms and devices.
Designing assets which support an end-to-end product design process, such as wireframes, prototypes, site or journey maps, IA, card-sorting, expert reviews, etc for testing with Consumers and Healthcare Professionals for delivery to product and development teams.
Working in an agile environment with a view to deliver iteratively, efficiently and with lean principles in mind.
Participating in activities which support this such as daily stand-ups, retrospectives and showcases.
Experience in using design and prototyping tools such as (but not limited to): Figma, Adobe XD and/or Axure.
Conducting and participating in user-testing and co-design practices.
Knowledge and experience of applying digital service standards and a thorough understanding of accessibility and inclusiveness design requirements.
Experience maintaining and developing design systems, component libraries and style-guides for digital products.
A portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating amazing User-Centred design solutions.
Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
3+ years' experience in human-centered design methods with a focus on User Experience Design.
Experience in the health sector and/or Government context.
Qualifications in Human-centered Design related field would be highly regarded.
Residency & Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline Clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
Australian Citizen.
