How you'll make an impact This 2 year contract role is responsible for contributing to the definition and implementation of the North digital UX/UI strategy and development roadmap.
In the role, you will be focused on sharing your UX/UI expertise and deep understanding of advisers, customers and their needs to design intuitive digital solutions and experiences so that advice can be delivered efficiently and financial advisers have the tools they need to effectively engage with their clients.
You will work collaboratively with our Project, Operations, Technology, Distribution and Marketing and Adviser representative groups to carve out a digital platform and product solutions.
You will have an intimate understanding of how to deliver, measure and report on customer and adviser needs and value.
You will be focused on learning our financial and digital products, deeply understanding our customers and their needs, and identifying digital product gaps and opportunities that will formulate the product strategy for your value stream.
You will work collaboratively with our Operations, Technology, Distribution and Marketing and Adviser representative groups to design and test our digital product solutions.
You will have an intimate understanding of how to deliver, measure and report on customer and adviser needs and value.
You will have input into and help foster an Agile, data driven, customer centric culture.
Providing input into our digital product strategy and cross functional delivery teams.
Improving the overall user experience related to core North functionality and features Designing new and improving existing North product features.
Contribute to the North UX/UI vision and strategy.
Provide input into the development of the North Design System & Processes Play a key role in ensuring project stakeholders understand the key tasks required to deliver quality designs and outcomes.
Ensure project plans have captured the required design tasks and assist with the completion of these tasks (as required) Contribute to the delivery of digital product initiatives from ideation, opportunity and risk assessments, product discovery, prioritisation, iterative delivery, launch and product optimisation Work hand-in-hand with the Digital Product team and provide guidance on UX/UI design principles and activities to deliver best-in-class products and online digital features Build close relationships with advisers and be the guiding 'voice of the customer' in all UX/UI related activities Illustrating design ideas through user storyboards, mock-ups,  low-fidelity and high-fidelity interactive designs and prototypes around adviser and customer needs Work with distribution and marketing to support go-to-market activities for enhancements and product launches including adviser and client communications, webinars, public website and social media campaigns, collateral updates, media launches as required etc Leading, communicating, and influencing positive design outcomes with customers, advisers, and senior business stakeholders Educate cross-functional teams and ensure the North Design System & Processes are being followed  Conducting user research to gain an understanding of their needs and behaviours and document requirements.
Tracking and analysing user experience metrics and reports to continuously improve on the UX/UI of the North Digital Product Offer Contribute to the North UX/UI vision and strategy What you will bring to the team Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role:  Experience operating in an Agile software development environment (2 - 3+ years) Experience in the Australian wealth management market (2-3+ years) across advice processes, products, platforms, superannuation, and retirement income products (preferred but not mandatory) Knowledge of IT architecture, including web development, in a financial services environment Web prototyping with Bootstrap, HTML and CSS (preferred but not mandatory) Responsive design (for web & profile) Proven experience with the use of design tools (such as Figma) Running workshops Creating user journey maps Storyboarding Visual wireframing & interactive prototyping  Is comfortable working in a role that requires you to use both your UI and UX expertise (50/50)  Someone who is obsessed with the customers and has a track record of addressing their needs through user-centric design and innovative use of technology Demonstrated experience using different UX research techniques Experience to work in a small (but growing) UX/UI team, and is excited about taking on the challenge to influence our design processes Proven ability to break down complex problems, deliver real-world business outcomes and handle changing priorities Proven ability to influence outcomes at all levels of the organisation Experience in creating and/or managing design systems in Figma  You'll thrive here if… If you can adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease, you'll do well here.
